Musings....... Abhinav Bharat is a far right hindutva organisation founded by two retired Military men in 2006 in Pune, Maharashtra. It has a large base in Madhya Pradesh. The organisation is believed to be the revived form of the pre- independence era Abhinav Bharat Society.  Abhinav Bharat Society also called Young India Society was a secret society founded by VD Savarkar and his brother in 1903. This organisation was one of many that cropped up across India during times of Militant Nationalism. It carried out few assassinations if British officials, the most notable being the Nasik Conspiracy Case - assassination of AMT Jackson, the district magistrate of Nasik. VD Savarkar was convicted and deported to the Cellular Jail in Andamans for life. From 1911 onwards multiple Mercy Petitions were sent to the then Bombay Government for his release on compassionate grounds. Musings....... At last I get the motivation to take pen to paper or I think I should say take finger to tablet and start writing. So after a long hiatus of a couple of months I’m back with my Musings. The past few days have been new, exciting, and to say the least an experience. The words wedding, new life, partner and tripping would sum up my activities of the past month or two. While I was away from the humdrum of social media which is the new roadside tea shop for gossipmongers a lot has happened in the world and I feel it an obligation out of habit to catch up. In fact this is the first time I am feeling somber over missing out. The biggest news of it all is what all of us know and anticipating, the General Elections 2019. The once in 5 years event would be one of the biggest electoral practices to date and if I am not wrong the costliest elections ever to have taken place.
